Learn something new in 2026!

It’s a little late for a New Year’s message, but I want to wish you a Happy New Year anyway. 2026 is off to a pretty challenging start in a lot of ways, but I think that one of the best ways to overcome the dark days of winter is to make something — to create something. If you haven’t taken my New England Cupboard class, I think it’s wonderful little project and I’ve just released a new session that’s available for registration. And if not that, I hope you’ll dig inside yourself and create something of your own.

New online class is open for registration!

In my new online class you’ll make a miniature 19th century New England Cupboard. I love this piece with its scroll-cut edges framing the upper shelves, and the simple door below. And you’ll have a choice of red or grey to finish it.

This project builds on the skills introduced in my online Bucket Bench class (available now!). Students will learn about using a jeweler’s saw, joinery, aged finishing techniques, installing hinges and more!

Lessons are self-guided online with a mix of videos, written instructions and photos.

After registering, I’ll mail you class supplies including precut cherry components, paint, custom hinges, and essential tools and supplies. Students will also need some tools and supplies of their own that I’ll specify on a materials list.

Initial enrollment is limited to 12 students.
